Nick holds a Ph.D. in herpetology and completed postdoctoral work in human evolution, publishing research on the genomics of reptile evolution and the genes behind human skin color.
Partway through his postdoc he began writing. First the urban fantasy series with his wife, and now the science thrillers he always loved .
He lives in Vermont with his wife, kids, and plenty of books.
